What is a fly ash and How to install fly ash silo

Fly ash is also called coal ash, which is a by-product from the combustion of pulverized coal, and is widely used in many fields such as be an ingredient in hydraulic-cement concrete. Because it improves many desirable properties of concrete, it is introduced either as a separately batched material or as a component of blended cement.

However, the wide application of fly ash also increases the risk of environmental pollution. The common pollution contains groundwater contamination and air pollution. Therefore, it is important to find a good way to store it to prevent environmental pollution.

Whether for environmental reasons or for better storage to ensure fly ash performance, fly ash storage needs to provide a dry, consistent environment, with higher requirements for storage sealing.

Since the steel silo was established, it has been popular with all walks of life, and it has developed rapidly in various places. The scope of silo application is also more and more extensive, which can be said to be all-encompassing. And the steel silo also as an ideal storage solution for bulk dry materials, such as fly ash, coal powder, cement, or other powder materials. In addition, the steel silo can also meet storage requirements of various building materials, various environmental protection project, and high requirements for storage sealing etc.

Today, let's take a look at how to install the sron welded steel silo for fly ash storage?

1. Hoist silo body of fly ash silo

When hoisting the silo body, use a car crane with more than 25 tons to connect the bolts and support legs of the silo body according to the orientation of ladder and the position of the exit of screw conveyor, and then use a theodolite to test the straightness of silo body. After adjustment, Tighten all bolts, unit brackets and ladders.

2.
After supports of fly ash steel silo are in place, assemble and hoist them in place.
Correct the level and straightness of diagonal and the four legs. After the correction, complete the channel device, and then weld it with embedded parts. Then install the ladder on bracket. Assemble support legs first, then place the dust collector and the cement silo flat on the ground, align them up and down, set the left and right ratios,  connect and install them one by one.

3.
After replacing one piece with the connecting angle steel, use a crane to install the other piece of the fly ash silo structure to form a bracket.
You need to pay attention to the direction of the ladder, the connection of the short angle steel ladder and the consistent direction of the long and short angle steel. The accessories of the fly ash steel silo need to be fixed on the top of the silo body with a sealing strip and on the inner edge of the flange connected with dust collector. After fixing dust collector, install the ladder guardrail and other parts in sequence, and fix them with bolts.

Through the above introduction to the installation method of a fly ash steel silo, we can better understand the installation process of steel plates. When choosing a steel silo, we should also pay attention to the qualification and strength of silo manufacturers. Choosing an experienced steel silo manufacturer can better ensure the quality of steel silos.
